At Pioneers, we know from experience that robust and thoughtful training is the best way to help people get to the mission field and stay there. Wherever you are in your missions journey with God, we are very happy to come alongside you to help you go deeper. Check out some of our current training opportunities below.
Do you sense that God may be calling you to long-term mission work, and that you would like some training to prepare? Spend three months as part of a Pioneers Discipleship Training Community (DTC), being equipped to share your faith cross-culturally. The DTC programme is currently running in Australia, and plans are being made to open new communities around the world, including in London.

Arab World Training Hub
Drawing on the knowledge of our sending team, field workers, and partners, the Arab World Training Hub is Pioneers' platform for equipping you for ministry among people of the Arab world. As well as field preparation, we can tailor introductory sessions for your church, small group, or Christian Union. Our team are experienced at sending mission workers to North Africa, the Middle East and other Muslim contexts and will happily craft a personalised pre-field plan for you.
The Culture Bridge is a five-week course run by Pioneers staff several times a year. It's aimed at equipping diaspora Christians with a greater understanding of British Culture, enabling more effective intercultural relationships and cross-cultural evangelism with their British neighbours, for the sake of the Gospel.
Stories
From isolated villages in the heart of the Amazon to the packed high rises of Tokyo, they are mothers and fathers, they have hopes and aspirations, they have struggles and sorrows. In truth, they are not so different from any one of us. In fact, it is impossible to build a singular profile of the unreached, apart from one thing...
Muslims often have many questions when we talk to them about Jesus. In this series, originally published in Link Magazine, a believer from a Muslim background gives some pointers on how to reply.
Series: The Church in Reality
Pioneers is committed to church planting initiatives and partnership with the local church wherever possible. This might sound like an obvious plan for a mission organisation: plant churches where they don’t exist and work with churches where they do. But it may not be as straightforward a plan as it seems...
Looking for a longer read? We love a good book - and we especially love a book that points us to Jesus and fuels our passion for the Great Commission. We've put our heads together and collected some of our favourite mission-related books (some of them even written by Pioneers field members!), and we've reviewed them for you on our Book Reviews page. Perhaps you'll find a new book you love, too!
The world of cross-cultural mission is full of terminology and concepts that are unfamiliar to many. In 'A Short Guide to Cross-Cultural Mission', we demystify some jargon, explain some ideas and hopefully inspire you to go deeper into God’s incredible mission to the nations.
Why don’t Muslims become Christians? Although every Muslim person will have their own reasons, there are queries and concerns that are common to many from this background. We can consider these to help us to think more intentionally about how we share the gospel, and how we pray for our Muslim friends and neighbours.
